About · The Team

We're Strange Goose.

A three-person professional film team founded in Edinburgh in 2024. Eleven productions, awards across the UK, Europe, and North America.

Strange Goose Productions was founded in Edinburgh in 2024 by Owen Coomber and Torya Winters. In two years we've made eleven productions across short films, music videos, and 48-hour competition entries, and won festival awards across the UK, Europe, and North America.

We started because we wanted to make proper films without the overhead of a traditional production company. We built a pipeline that lets a tight, experienced team move fast and deliver well.

Eight times we've entered the 48 Hour Film Project, arriving on a Friday night with no script and leaving Sunday afternoon with a finished film. We've won Best Film, Best Directing, Best Actor, and dozens of other awards across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, and Aberdeen. We mention this not because competition films are commercial work, but because if you're a brand with a deadline, it's useful to know what we're capable of under pressure.
